Forums - Alliance > Expectations

I am not sure what people expect when they join a guild which is clearly labeled a 'fan guild'. I personally have avoided joining any guilds in World of Warcraft due to shifting time constraints , other interests, and being wary of the clash of expectations which always seems to form as the result of different peoples views of what is suppose to happen. I finally joined Project Lore because I want to have fun, see some new content, and if I don't have time to be in game it wont screw up someone's raid if they don't have enough people .

General observations - If you want people to be nice to you you need to be nice to them. If you want help don't expect someone to drop everything they are doing at the moment to rush out to help you as they are doing you a favor by aiding you. Also don't let it be a one way street and give other people help when they need it. Be tolerant of others as not everyone has the same sense of humour and ages vary a lot especially on here. If you have a problem with someone tell them in whispers as everyone is human and can have bad days where they take their frustrations out on someone else. Don't tell everyone else but them about it. Remember at the end of the day we are dealing with other human beings on their own computers with their own lives and problems not computer programs. Lastly if you are not having fun take a step back and do something else for a while.

Interesting post.

I would like to say that if anyone has any problems with anything they can always bring it to an executive officer. Please let us know so we can do something about it. If you don't like the way WE have done something, too, call us out on it. Just be respectful to everyone, please.

Very interesting post, but when i joined the guild it was clear to me that it is going to be fan guild with almost no requirement except being a fan of the show. Only a few days later, i realize this wont work that well, since the members grew beyond 500 and triggered an ingame bug. The officers took action and start kicking inactive toons. Later on there are a few other changes in the guild to encourage ppl lvl faster and a few interesting disscussion on vent abt member qualifications. I think its only a process that every new guild go through. The bottom line is this guild will always be a fan guild, but it may become a raiding guild like trs guild did or it can stay causal. It is for its memebers to decide and only time will tell.

So talk to an exc. officer if u have any concern abt the direction of the guild is going, and they will listen.
