Forums - Alliance > Worgen/Goblin Hype

Hey guys, not trying to insult anybody, but I just thought of something. Whenever a new race or class comes out almost everyone rolls it just for the experience. Eventually the hype goes away, leaving the last players standing more dedicated to their new toon to their own devices. I might step on sometoes, and it may be too soon to make a call, but I got to ask, when the hype finally dies off, who's going to still stand by their new character?

I agree w/ Kazoo. It's a very interesting question to pose and I think one that has merit. Personally, I think I'll stick with a new worgen till I get through some of the beginning quests and play a class I haven't before. More than likely, I'll personally get a race change for some existing characters if I think the race deserves it.

With the bound-2-account items that help with leveling, I think the new toons that WoW players roll will level quickly and then once you see the tier gear they have, and what they bring to raid parties, their will be plenty of new toons grinding for their guild progression.

DK's were everywhere when WotLK came out, and still are. As much as before? Of course not, but with any thing that is new it has a short burst of favoritism and then becomes casual to players. Worgen and Goblins is all going to be new (well, class style and new starting are), so their should be quiet the run for the next expansion Cataclysm.

WIth WotLK, you were allowed to make a Death Knight at 55, but you don't start at lvl 60 or 65 as a Goblin or Worgen, making the game experience for rolling those toons much longer, making attachment to the time put in more valued, and hopefully letting these two races see popular futures amongst all realms.
