Technically we have 18 80's since we do have alts at 80 also. Plus minus the player who aren't on much at all and we have like 8 people. Taking in consideration that we all have different work schedules, we can probably get 5 on at a time. As it stands, we are still a baby guild. We are still getting our legs stronger so we can start walking without falling hard. Just be patient for some more 80's before we start doing naxx 10 guild only
Again, that site only rate a person's armor, enchants, and gems. Doesn't rate the actual player. Sites like that are only to check a few things for your own character and shouldn't be used for rating players.
I'd judge by those still coming up, we can expect steady runs to start in the next week. With me, hitting 80, we'll usually have healers on at most times of the day. 2-3 weeks of gear runs and we'll probably be able to fill out a full nax 10 man. Until those waiting at 80 will unfortunately have to pug if they want to go to nax earlier.
Let me know guys if you need a tank to run with for Heroic runs for items and badges. I'm a Tankadin and would love to help anyone out :)
Why exactly is it "sad to say" that I have the best gear in the guild? I have 2 tier 7 pieces, several Naxx drops, have been in successfull Naxx 10 and OS25 raids, and I'm a guild executive officer and one of it's most active members... I fail to see the sad part, other then maybe I have no life lol. Besides which I'm not the best geared in the guild, even by that site's standards, Tyrionade is. Plus if it cached me in shadow spec for example but wearing my healing gear it would rate me lower because of "improper enchants" etc Basically like Black, White, and Black again (go Oth) said is true, the site isn't a true measure of anything let alone player skill. At best it gives you a characters gear iLevel for the gear they happen to be wearing when the armory last cached them regardless of if it was talent appropriate, PVP gear, etc
i was messing with u
I Know that im not the best geared but all my gear is now at least Item level od 200. With only a couple 213's
For the most part, a good amount of us are geared for at least 1 quarter of naxx. Probably the Arachnid Quarter and maybe Plague Quarter. However, there are still a quite of bit of 80's that are not geared well enough. Also, we need at least 2 healers and 2 tanks. Maybe 3 healers to be safe. Our problem is that everyone has different times they are on. We either gotta set up a consistant raid night that's okay with everyone's time or wait till we got more 80s.
BJ, I know I've said this a lot but I'll repeat it again. I'm not very comfortable with DK tanks. Neither as a healer or dps. A DK tank really needs to know exactly what's going on to do his job correctly. When they do, they are really good OT or trash tanks in my opinion. No offense but I haven't seen you tank anything so I don't want you tanking a instance other than trash mobs or off tanking. Go dps until you got the gear and practice a few times. Practice on Chillmaw when you do your dailies. See if you can hold hate when you got 4 other people going all out dps right from the get go and hold the 3 adds. That's what I'm doing at least
BTW, I'm a master of block text. I do it at work everyday
The guild I ran on Farstriders had just over 100 members of which about 60 where level 80's. Of those 80's we had around 6 tanks and 5 healers, give or take a couple here and there. We still had a hard time getting 10-25 people together at the same time so we could raid. More often than not we ended up trying to pug which in most cases ended up in a failed attempt. I am not trying to disappoint anyone here just trying to state some of the realities of forming a raid.
On the other hand when we do start gearing members up I have a suggestion. If possible make a run, or two, a week at Archavon in Wintergrasp (only available if Horde has control of Wintergrasp) then take down Sartharion in Obsidian Sanctum rite after. Sartharion drops a lot of good loot and multiple emblems to help us gear up. If time permits, or possibly on an off day, take a stab at Naxx 10 man. Start with the Spider Wing and as the raid gets better geared move to either the Plague or Death Knight wings finishing with Abomination wing and the final two bosses then its on to Malygos and beyond. Of course this is just my suggestion to gear up a raid group and our possible progression, we still need to get 10-25 people on at the same time which can be much harder than the actual run.
Another thought is to build alliances with other guilds that want to raid but can't get people on at the same time. Trade lists of members that want to raid or create a chat channel that the allied guilds can chat in, post the channel name in the MotD or guild info so everyone can use it. One rule we had with our allied guilds was that we would not recruit their members nor would they ours. This just means that we could not actively ask members from allied guilds to join our guild but if they asked on their own free will it was OK.
Sorry about all that I tend to ramble on a bit.
we have 21 80s now and 10 are geared for nax 10 man 5 are geared for nax 25 man and its sad to say but law has better gear than all of us according to http://be.iemba.hu we need to go on gear runs when we can get stuff scheduled
